We were established very rapidly over a weekend in November 2020, gaining overwhelming public support. We were registered in January 2021 as a charity with the UK Charities Commission.
We rely heavily on donations from the public, and a great deal of volunteer time to create a stock of clean, undamaged clothing which can be provided to clients who are referred to us. We currently work with community professionals who refer families to us. All clients remain completely anonymous and we endeavour to deliver our support in a discrete way.
We rely on donations of pre-loved clean clothing from local people so we can offer our clients a range of clothing in various sizes. We accept clothing in good condition with no damage. We cover all ages from 0-16 years
Our volunteers are the beating heart of UCCB, without them the charity wouldn’t exist! Our volunteers collect donations, sort clothes and store them, pack items for families and deliver them to outreach centres
The UCCB are thrilled to be selected as one of the charities supported by the Mayor of Saffron Walden.
We are also extremely grateful for the kind support from the following organisations.
